Sunrise over the Gobi Desert, with light breaking through the clouds

The Hibot story

Born for the road

Made for explorers.

Long ago
a traveler headed west

More than a thousand years ago, the monk Xuanzang set out on his journey to the West. He crossed deserts and traveled thousands of miles in search of answers. There were no shortcuts on that road — only a clear goal, steady persistence and the courage to face the unknown.

Today, on the land he once crossed, a group of entrepreneurs set out again. They came to the Gobi not to conquer nature, but to take a fresh look at themselves in the middle of nowhere. Through wind and sand, past exhaustion, leaning on one another, they reached the finish one step at a time.

The journey felt a lot like starting a company: set out with a goal, explore the unknown, grow through the challenges and arrive together.

A real need

On a long road
music is the best companion

Hours of walking, long stretches alone, the same steps over and over, a tired body. The hardest moments often come not when the body reaches its limit, but when the mind grows weary.

Many on the trail wished they had music to keep them going — not for the noise, but because the road is just that long.

01

Keep the pace

A familiar melody helps you find your own rhythm.

02

Company when alone

The Gobi is vast and empty. Music becomes the link between you and the world around you.

03

Bring people together

When a group hears the same song at the same moment, it becomes a shared memory.

But

Ordinary speakers
can’t keep up with this road

Too heavy

No room in a light pack

Good sound usually comes with more size and weight.

No signal

Online music won’t play

Once you leave the city, the network isn’t always there.

Hands full

Reaching for your phone is a hassle

Climbing, cycling, setting up camp — your hands are always busy.

So

We set out to build
a speaker for the long road

  • Light enoughFits in a backpack or clips onto a shoulder strap.
  • Smart enoughSay a song’s name to play it, no phone in hand. No network? Request songs from your microSD card.
  • Open enoughLink several speakers so everyone on the trip shares the same music.

And so Hibot was born

From the Gobi
to every day

It belongs to the mountains and the open road, and to everyone who loves life.
